Fever

Fever is one method the body uses to fight infection. Unless fever lasts for a long time, or is very high, it may serve a useful purpose. However, a temperature greater than 100F (taken rectally) in an infant less than three months old is unusual and should be reported to our office immediately.

infant medical careWe do not call in prescriptions for narcotics, ritalin or antibiotics.

Immunizations

Immunizations are very important for the healthy development of your child and should be started at birth. Although it is possible to obtain immunizations at the health department we prefer to do all well checkups/immunizations in our office. A record of well checkups, as well as sick visits, is necessary in the treatment of your child.

Vaccine For Children Program

Our practice participates in the VFC program. If your child meets the necessary criteria, we can provide his/her vaccinations at a reduced fee. Please ask a staff member if you have any questions.
